Stampin’ Up!® Potions & Spells Bundle: CWK Card #2

You’ll love my previous post with fun pics from the Potions Party on August 24th here at this link! Once you fall in love with all the cards and decide to make them yourself, you can find individual blog posts for each card/project.

On my video I used the Happy Halloween on one line instead of stacked and I like it better that way, but alas, the photo was already done! SO, do yours however you want….change up the sentiment…whatever! Spread some magic!

Just use your wide Water Painter to create the stripes, add the same color ink to the coordinating broom bottom and band, attach with Dimensionals and glue the broomstick underneath. Then voila…flying witches’ brooms trails! I wrapped 3 broomsticks onto the back of the card and one inside the card for added magic!

This is really a simple card if you love coloring with blends!

NOTE: I started off with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ white piece for the front, then based on how my stripes looked I cut off about 1/4″ from one side and from top or bottom so I’d have the coordinating striped piece for the inside of the card. Then just adjust the size of your stripe to fit the inside card base or vice versa. On the video I added a Granny Apple Green layer on the front behind the white piece…you can choose whichever you prefer…it’s your card!

Measurements:

• Gorgeous Grape cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
• Granny Apple Green cardstock (optional): 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ (can make larger or just skip the layer). I’d diecut several “slimes” out first to maximize paper usage.
• Crushed Curry cardstock scraps for 5 brooms
• Pecan Pie cardstock scraps for broom handles
• Basic White cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ for front (to cut down to 3 3/4″ x 5″); 3 3/4″ x 5″ for inside
