Rustic Harvest DSP with Framed Colored Leaves

Just a little touch of coloring inside any outline leaf set you have will bring the outside of the cardfront inside. (Or stamp with a two-step leaf set.)

Measurements:

• Old Olive cardstock base: 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
• Basic Black cardstock: 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cut down with largest Stitched Rectangle Die to 3 ¾” x 5 ⅛”; plus optional ½” x 3” (x2) pieces for top and bottom inside Kraft frame
• Basic White cardstock: 4 ¼” x 5 ½” cut down with largest Stitched Rectangle Die to 3 ¾” x 5 ⅛”; plus scrap for greeting
• Kraft paper 3” x 4 ¼” to diecut with Fabulous Frame
• Rustic Harvest leaf DSP: 2 15/16” x 4” with optional black top/bottom that really makes the Amber embellishment pop), or 3” x 4 ¼” without optional strips (less efficient cut of DSP but easier)
• DSP Linen Thread: 16” to wrap around card twice plus 17″ ish for double bow

Instructions:

• I cut a piece of Kraft paper down to 3” x 4 ¼”, then cut the Fabulous Frame out of the middle of it for Card #2. This card #5 uses the remaining “negative space.” 
• I colored the Leaf Label with a water painter and various inks used to color the leaf DSP. Then I texture embossed it using the Timber 3D embossing folder. Then I wadded it up really well, creased it, opened it, wadded it up again, etc. to make the leaf look weathered.
• I looped the linen thread around the card twice and hung the leaf on it. Then added the double bow with a glue dot on top of that.
• If you don’t have the Charming Sentiments bundle you could just use any greeting and fussy cut around it to nestle inside the leaf.
• The Amber Gems that come with the Leaf Labels really set this card off!
