Kylie’s International Blog Highlights June 2023: Masterfully Made Suite

Thanks to Susan Campfield with Suestampfield.com for this great Flying Finch Fun Fold card base that I CASED for my bright, cheery card to say Thank You to someone special! I changed up my card to showcase the Masterfully Made DSP from the new 23-24 Annual Catalog. I really enjoy playing with returning colors from our recent color refresh. 

Here’s the back using the same DSP and a different stamp set, but you can substitute any stamp set and DSP to easily make your own version of this fun card. Watch the YouTube video at the link below after my LIVE on Saturday, June 10th.

Cardstock:

• Pretty Peacock: 5 1/2″ x 6 1/4″ (x2): “flying finch fun fold” cardbases scored at 1 1/2″, 2 3/4″ 4 5/8″; plus piece 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
• Berry Burst: 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
• Fresh Freesia: scrap to diecut circle for tag
• Basic White: 1 3/8″ x 5 1/4″ (x2 for back); plus scrap to diecut tag

DSP: Masterfully Made

• Paper roses sheet: 3″ x 5″; 2 strips for back from 1/2″ up to 1 1/4″ width (depends on how much leftovers you have) x 5 1/4″ (x2)
• Lemon Lime Twist torn paper sheet: 1″ x 5 1/4″ (x2)
• Pretty Peacock leafy sheet: 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″(x2)

Inks & Ribbons:

• 12″ Lemon Lime Twist from 2 pack
• 12″ Parakeet Party Baker’s Twine from 5 pack

Instructions:

• Score, cut and diecut as noted.
• The easiest way to do the fold is to watch Suestampfield.com do it. (Or watch my video once I get it posted.)
• Fold both cardstock bases with mountain fold at 1 1/2″, valley fold at 2 3/4″, then valley fold at 4 5/8″.
• Flip one cardstock side to side to mirror the other one so that both outer flaps are the mountain fold with the 1 1/2″ flap on the outsides.
• Then flip both pieces over top to bottom, tuck each 1 5/8″ flap underneath; line up the score lines and add a post it note to keep them together side by side.
• Flip the pieces over again so the post-it note is on the bottom side, then adhere the 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Pretty Peacock to the folded back flaps.
• Adhere 3″ x 5″ floral DSP to the 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ Berry Burst piece and adhere that with Dimensionals to the Peacock piece.
• Stamp leaf/berries or floral stamp from Courage & Faith in Pretty Peacock onto back panels, then add Berry Burst berries and Lemon Lime Twist Leaves if desired.
• Remove the post it note, then add DSP and card stock layers as pictured.
• Stamp Thank You or other sentiment onto white diecut tag and adhere Freesia circle.
• Run ribbon and twine together through circle on tag and tie double bow with it, then adhere tag with Dimensionals.
• Add sequins if desired.
