Kylie’s International Blog Highlights December 2022: Stampin’ Up!® Snow Crystal & Wintry 3D

Whew! This card is really lighter than it shows in the photo’s “vivid” mode. But I hope you can see the details that heat embossing with white using the Snow Crystal stamp and texture embossing with the Wintry 3D folder show off!  I always use Craft White Ink (instead of Versamark) and White embossing powder to make the image as white as possible. Blending brushes with Pool Party and Fresh Freesia create a beautiful background for the gorgeous crystal snowflake. A Pool Party sponge dauber around the edges of the Tailored Tag die made it pop against the white base. The NEW Pool Party ribbon from the upcoming JA 23 Mini catalog lends a lovely touch but you could substitute the current Sheer Pool Party ribbon. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the letters in the “thanks” greeting, plus on the textured snowflakes (on the right) to give them more sparkle.

The photo above shows an alternative adding more bling from the Adhesive-Backed Sequins & Gems. You could easily use this for a Christmas card or any other kind of card during the winter season just by changing the sentiment.

• Basic white cardstock:   3″ x 5 1/4″ panel; and 3 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ ish scrap for greeting
