CWK Designs: Stampin’ Up!® Ginkgo Branch with Texture Chic DSP: Petal Pink & Mango Melody
Card #3 of 6 in my GORGEOUS GINKGO Class-To-Go, this offset gatefold showcases the DSP and the lovely stamp set and dies.
I used the same technique as I did on the front: adding a bit of Mango Melody with a blending brush to the flowers and adding Soft Succulent stems with a marker on top of the Petal Pink-inked rubber stamp before stamping it down onto the paper.
Here’s an alternative where I brushed Soft Succulent onto the white branch diecut layer that is below the stamped diecut branch image to give it more of a shadowed look. Plus I layered some gold flowers over the branch to cover the fact that I missed a couple of flowers in the middle of the stamped image. (Mistakes become opportunities!)
I added a sweet sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set to the front and the inside. (Not included on the Product List.)
Measurements:
- Petal Pink cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 3″ and 7 1/4″
- Texture Chic DSP: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (x2), 1″ x 5 1/4″ (x2)
- Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside; 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ ish (x2) to stamp branch image and sentiment label
- Distressed gold 3″ x 4″ ish (die barely fits) or leftover pieces for diecut flowers
Instructions:
- Diecut an blank white branch image to layer behind the stamped layer and brush on Soft Succulent ink if desired.
- Add Petal Pink ink to the large branch image stamp, then add a touch of Mango Melody onto the flower portions of the stamp with a blending brush, then color directly onto the rubber stamp with Soft Succulent marker on the stems, then huff on the full image to remoisten it before you stamp onto white cardstock to get the three-toned effect.
- I diecut a full detailed branch out of gold, then cut apart and strategically layered over the stamped, diecut branch image. You could use adhesive sheets but I didn’t want all sections glued down so I used small dots of liquid glue instead.
- Adding some Petal Pink marker (and Wink of Stella if desired) to the stamped images and around the perimeter of the label added even more to the glamour of the card’s gold foiled papers.
