Kylie’s International Blog Highlights February 2023: Stampin’ Up! SAB Thanks a bunch
Who would have thought carrots would be so cute on a thank you card! I used several different techniques to achieve these effects. Hope you’ll try it!
Here’s a little closer view so you can see more detail.
Peek at the inside.
- I’m excited to participate again in Kylie’s International Blog Highlights with my Spring fun fold card that says “Thanks a bunch” to the recipient.
- My card measurements and product list are below the following International Blog Highlights information.
- I hope you’ll take time to vote for up to five of your favorite cards from the highlights. (Hopefully including mine!)
- Just click: VOTE FOR MY CARD! then select my card by clicking the heart on the upper right of the photo.
- You’ll know you’ve voted for it when the heart changes color.
- The top ten winners based on your votes will be able to participate in the actual International Highlights Winners Hop at the end of the month.
- I’ve made it into Kylie’s Top Ten twice this year and I’d love to share that honor again!

The photo gives you a peek at the inside, under the awning. I stamped the red heart, punched it out and adhered it overlapping the blue heart. I used foam adhesive strips on the floral section that props up the easel (top and bottom of the strip).
Measurements:
- Mossy Meadow cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Pumpkin Pie cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, diecut with largest deckle rectangle
- Very Vanilla cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ ish, (x2) diecut with next largest deckle rectangle
- Linen thread: 11″ ish (x2 for double bow)
Instructions:
- Video details: Create With Kelley Pitts on my You Tube channel.
- When you practice using the detailed carrot stamp, stamp it first. You can spritz it with water before stamping to get a different effects than just stamping on card stock or watercolor paper.
- You can stamp the full carrot on top of the detailed carrot stamp, or just use the full carrot stamp alone.
- I stamped the carrot onto the pad, then used a sponge color with a different color randomly around the edges, then spritzed it with water before stamping onto watercolor paper.
- I fussy cut them out, added some detail at the top to look like the green leafy sprigs that are stamped flat onto the vanilla card stock (3 generations).
- I stamped the little stacked lines stamp onto Pumpkin Pie layer after diecutting with the Deckled Rectangle die, then used the same stamp in Crumb Cake on the vanilla card stock, then again in coordinating colors onto the carrots.
- I used a water painted with some Crumb Cake ink refill to get the splatter effect.
- Carrots are adhered with Dimensionals at the top. The the vanilla layer and the Pumpkin layer have Dimensionals.
