Country Floral Lane Two Step Heart #2

How fun is this Country Floral Lane DSP? If you’re also ready to jump into Spring and Valentine’s cards, the Country Bouquet bundle and the Country Floral Lane Suite will get you in the mood!   Just switch the sentiment on my card designs to Get Well Soon,  Thinking of You, Congratulations, Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary or Happy Valentine’s Day…these cards work for almost any occasion!

Love the new Cane Weave 3D Embossing folder! It pairs quite nicely with the Country Bouquet Bundle, right?

This simple stamping and inside makes it quick and cute. You could use the scalloped rectangle die, the stitched rectangle die or this Deckle edged die…whichever you have available.  (Or just cut a plain rectangle if you don’t have dies.)

Measurements:

• Sweet Sorbet cardstock base: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
• Mint Macaron cardstock: 2 ⅛” x  5 ½”, then embossed with Cane Weave embossing folder.
• Basic White cardstock: 3 1/4” square to stamp and fussy cut large heart, plus scrap for banner
• CFL DSP punch hearts sheet: Heart with Mint Leaves (or stamp on white and punch out)
• CFL DSP stripe: ¾” x 5 ½” 

Instructions:

• I think it’s easier to stamp the flower/heart stamp first in Sweet Sorbet, then for the second step use the Mint Macaron leaf stamp to fill in the space between the hearts/leaves.
• Glue the striped DSP to the bottom first, then glue the Mint embossed piece. 
• Draw a stripe along the top of the Mint piece with Wink of Stella to look like a shiny layer if desired.
• Fussy cut 2 step heart after stamping, punch the other heart and leaves from the DSP or stamp and fussy cut out, then attach with Dimensionals.
• Use Stitched, Scalloped or Deckled Rectangle dies for the inside layer, then stamp as desired.
• Add Wink to the hearts/leaves/banner edges, then add embellishments as desired.
