Paper Pumpkin Peeps enjoy trying alternatives with their monthly kits, so some of my local subscribers come over each month to create alternatives. (Or we did before social distancing came along…) Hopefully you soon-to-be-fans of my new blog will enjoy my alternatives too. (Please subscribe!)
This month’s Lovely Day kit was filled with beautiful card bases, envelopes and elements to play with. As a Rich Razzleberry fanatic I had to cut those supplied card bases in half to double their use, then diecut the center out with a Stitched Rectangle die to use it on more cards later.
Greetings from the Happy Birthday To You Cling Stamp Set seamlessly coordinated with the Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin kit.
Just using Rich Razzleberry ink instead of Rococo Rose to outline the flower panel and adding a bit of (retired) matching ribbon totally changed the personality of the card front, don’t you think? Razzle dazzle ’em, right?
Using Petal Pink and Rich Razzleberry Blends filled in the flower nicely to cover the fact that the flower didn’t stamp completely in the center. (Yes, I used the Stamparatus thereafter!) To coordinate with the splatter printed on the front, I dipped the Aqua Painter in some dazzling (get it?) ink and splattered the inside, then stamped the small flower from the kit in Rococo Rose and colored the stems with a Pear Pizzazz marker. (Old Olive would work too…it’s all about choices, right?)
Kit sequins and Wink of Stella added just essential bling to top it off. Oh, that and adding a brave swoosh with the Aqua Painter dipped in Rococo Rose to draw attention to the Happy Birthday greeting. I’ll skip any more details since it’s just a simple Paper Pumpkin alternative, but I’m happy to help if you contact me. You can pick up extra supplies to stretch your kit at my online store. Thanks!

I really think the splatter add a nice touch to this card.
